Glossary term: App

An application that can be tested with FediTest.

Here are some examples that FediTest considers an App in our terminology:

• Mastodon;
• WordPress with the ActivityPub plugin installed;
• A hosted application that whose source code is not available, such as Threads.

Note: Our use of the term App is not restricted to mobile apps, or apps on desktop-class or laptop-class computers.

For the purposes of FediTest, an App runs on a Node.
